How to Listen
Quasar broadcasts using the internet and a shout-cast stream encoded by AAC+, unlike terrestrial radio we are not limited to one small spot on the planet. OK at the moment it is not so easy listen to us in your car or when out and about, but this is beginning to change with the introduction of iPhones and the like.

PC/MAC
The most obvious way of listening to us is via your computer and this is done by clicking on the 'Listen live Logo' on the sidebar. This will open a player which can remain open while you continue to surf the net. All our streams are 'Port 80 Enabled' which means they are able to get past most corporate Firewalls making it easier to listen at work.

Internet Radio (Reciva)
There is of course an even simpler way and that is by using an Internet Radio, these devices are similar to ordinary radios except that they utilise your broadband wifi and give worldwide coverage of radio stations. To tune your internet radio to us search by Genre 'Soft Rock' and we are listed as 'Quasar AAC+' & 'Quasar - Non-Corporate Radio'. To save having to do this every time save us on one of the radio's presets.
Happy Listening

A Note on Buffering
Sometimes Quasar will go quiet and the Internet Radio or Computer you are listening on will come up with the statement 'Buffering', this is not a technical fault with quasar but the internt getting clogged up. This normally clears after a while but on occasions can be severe.
